Easy As Lying: The Music of Shakespeare’s Globe

4:00 p.m.
November 12th, 2017

St. John’s Episcopal Church
705 Hale St., Beverly Farms MA

In this spirited musical celebration of William Shakespeare, you’ll hear excerpts from the plays read aloud, songs the Bard mentions by name, and works by his talented musical contemporaries. The program includes music of Thomas Morley, John Dowland, Robert Johnson and others, all performed with period instruments and historic pronunciation. First performed in 2014 to mark Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, “Easy as Lying” drew enthusiastic crowds last year as part of the Folger Library’s First Folio tour and the Boston Public Library’s exhibit “All the City’s a Stage”.
